Our Stories – BOBE & NANCY
1. When & where did you meet for the first time?
Surabaya, 16/04/2015 during his business trip.
2. What inspired you to celebrate your wedding with us?
Ayodya provided the right facility to support our wedding party, such as accommodation, a ballroom for our tea pai ceremony, a big parking lot, the ability to host over 1000 (pax) capacity at the hotel’s beautiful beach garden (beachfront) and many more. One thing is for sure, Ayodya had excellent food and a lot of variety for our dinner.
3. What was your wedding concept and why did you choose that?
Greenery Wedding; with a white & green theme. We minimalized flowers for our reception, and instead requested leaves for our stage decoration, garlands, bridal table runners, boutonnières, and also for my wedding bouquet.
4. Is there any particular moment that you specifically remember from your wedding celebration?
The fire dancers led us to the grand entrance with the song “Is This Love” by Bob Marley (Remix version). The atmosphere of our wedding reception was romantic and the most wonderful night ever!
5. Please share with us what kind of wedding gown & suit you wore?
Bride:
Morning wedding dress: I chose my own design with a white A-line dress, long sleeves in lace, and a tiny crown on my head. I bought a unique protea flower for my wedding bouquet; it was a single huge pink flower that means hope.
Evening wedding gown: I chose a white, off-the-shoulder wedding gown from OvanPutri’s new collection. I bought a wild greenery bouquet, it was all about green; eucalyptus, silver dollar, succulents and many more.
The Bride Wore: For the ceremony, Nency chose her own design with a white A-line dress with long sleeves in lace and a tiny crown on her head. Honoring the couple’s ‘greenery wedding’ theme, the bride bought a unique protea flower for her wedding bouquet; which represents hope.
Groom:
Morning Ceremony: I chose a grey suit with black tie, and a green circular boutonniere at my chest.
Reception dinner: I chose a dark green suit with dark brown tie, and a gold circular boutonnière on my dark green suit.
The Groom Wore: For the reception, the groom chose a dark green suit with dark brown tie. Tying in the couple’s ‘greenery wedding’ theme, the groom sported a gold circular boutonnière on his dark green suit.
